Origin is a youth-led and identity-focused program that empowers high school students to create their own issue-based projects. Throughout the season, students will develop skills in leadership, research, organization, and community impact.

Origin Youth Group
Students will have the opportunity to decide and implement a project centered on civic engagement and issues impacting communities. We’ll guide students in collaboration, project organization, and exploring AAPI identities. In the past, projects have included fundraising for AAPI books supporting the TEAACH act and voter tool kits.

Racial Healing Collaborative
The Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community is partnering with the LUV institute to bring an all new summer program. Racial Healing Collaborative is a 6 week program that works to bring intercultural dialogue and racial healing to the youth of our Asian American and African American communities! The youth will learn about leadership, restorative justice, and art-based solidarity as they work with local professional artists to design a collaborative sculpture to be places on display in Chicago!
Who: Asian American or African American identifying High School age students in the Chicagoland area
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays between June 25th and August 1st from 10am-12pm
