Lunar New New Year Fundraiser

To commemorate the Year of the Ox and await good fortune in the coming year, CBCAC brought our community together to celebrate our organization and community in a fundraiser. We embarked on a virtual tour of Chinatown and unpacked the history behind our solidarity. We heard from C.W. Chan about CBCAC’s history, David Wu about the Pui Tak Center, Si Chen about the Chinatown Public Library, June Coutre about the murals, Mabel Moy about the Chinatown Gate, and Ernest Wong about Ping Tom Park. We also featured our volunteers and had fun trivia!

Those born as an Ox are said to possess great strength and diligence. In the new year, we seek to channel these virtues as we continue our work to empower and engage a growing and diversifying Chinese American community in Greater Chicago.

Our sincerest gratitude to those who joined and contributed to our CBCAC Lunar New Year fundraiser. We're so grateful for the support that we’ve received. We're proud to say that we raised over 2,000 dollars! Click here to view the event again.
