Parks District Stewardship program

We work in collaboration with the Parks District, The Nature Conservancy and Friends of the Park in order to promote the natural areas in Ping Tom, McKinley and Palmisano Park. Our goal is to have local residents engage with their local park stewardship.

Solidarity Project

The Healing Illinois program provided us the opportunity to create vulnerable spaces for immigrant parents to discuss race and racism in the United States. CBCAC facilitated and hosted a 5 session program and 6 standalone introduction sessions covering topics such as history of Black, Native, Latinx and Chinese Americans, how to address racism with your children, and why stereotypes are harmful.
